Save the Date – August 9th Rap Session!

Hearing Loss Association of America Sarasota/Manatee Chapter

Sarasota August Rap Session!

Wednesday, August 9th 2017
Second Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm

In the summer, the Chapter conducts “Rap Sessions”.

The August Rap Session will kick off the discussions with Dr. Mary Thorpe of HearCare Connection, addressing the charity's work locally and internationally.

In Sarasota, the not for profit provides hearing screenings, hearing tests, hearing aids, hearing aid maintenance, hearing aid repairs, and follow-up care after initial treatment for persons unable to afford such services. They can fit individuals with gently used donated hearing aids collected through our community donation program.

The international work is done in conjunction with their Fort Wayne partner and they have brought hearing assistance to Haiti, Central America and Mozambique.

Our peer mentor will be fielding questions ably assisted by YOU in comparing experiences covering all facets of coping with hearing loss.

Stay for refreshments and social time!

Dr. Thorpe will play some video and discuss the international needs of hearing care.
