9:30 am Coffee & Donuts served; 10:00 am Presentation by Dave Rogers
Former Navy Seal, Dave Rogers, will present the topic “Safety, Security, and Situational Awareness” to the Sun City Center chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA SCC) on Tuesday, May 16th at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1239 Del Webb Blvd, West, Sun City Center at 10:00 A.M. He will discuss safety, security and situational awareness which will provide us with strategies that could save our life and the lives of our loved ones in time of crisis.
Although our country seems to be increasingly dangerous, there are specific mindsets, tactics and techniques that ordinary civilians can implement in their daily lives in order to maintain their quality of life and sense of security. Mr. Rogers, from Tampa Firearms Training, will provide us with the knowledge and tools to be confident in handling potentially dangerous situations – in your home, school, workplace, place of worship, movie theaters, malls, large venues, etc.
All are welcome and for those with a hearing loss, Tess Crowder Executive Director of Communication Access, Inc. will provide us with captioning (CART). St. Andrew has installed a hearing loop so those with hearing aids can switch their hearing aid to T-coil for direct sound.
Please join HLAA SCC members for this potentially lifesaving presentation. In the world today, you never know when you might need this information and, if you do need it, it might be too late to acquire it in time.
The HLAA SCC Chapter is supported by Communication Access, Inc., and The Men’s Club of Sun City Center.
Richard Herring, President of Hearing Loss Association of America, Sun City Center Chapter
