Cecil Bradley, FTRI Executive Director, will give a presentation on a new legislative bill being introduced to 2025 Florida Legislative Session which is happening now.  The new legislative bill is called the “Modernization of TASA” Bill.  This bill will improve the current TASA law (1991).

The new bill will allow FTRI (www.ftri.org) to provide wireless telecommunications equipment (one example, – iPad) for financially eligible Floridians with hearing loss or with speech impairments.  Currently, FTRI provides free analog phone equipment that only works with landline or VOIP.  FTRI needs your support.

How?  You contact State Legislators and ask them to support the TASA Modernization Bill.  The legislative bill numbers for both Senate and House will be announced during this presentation.  Come and learn how this legislative bill will benefit Deaf, HH, and DB, and how you can reach out to State legislators.
